UCL STS Announces Promotions 2023-24

UCL have annouced this year's academic promotions and we are delighted that this year we have three promotions:

• Dr Melanie Smallman has been promoted from Associate Professor to Professor of Science and Technology Studies.
• Dr Jean-Baptiste Gouyon has been promoted from Associate Professor to Professor of Science Communication.
• Dr Simon Lock has been promoted from Associate Professor to Professor of Science, Politics and Culture.

Melanie is an expert on science communication and policy, especially in the area of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI).

Jean-Baptiste is an expert in Science Communication and Science in the Media.

Simon's research interests are centred around the relationship between science and the public, the development of science communication, and public engagement with science and technology.
