The library is your gateway to the resources and sources of information you need to support your studies and inform your assignments and research, but to make the most of these and contribute to your academic success it’s critical that you develop library research skills.

This live online session is an introduction to the skills you need for effective library research, including:

• planning and carrying out a search for information;

• evaluating the information you find to ensure you select relevant, reliable and valid sources to inform your work;

• managing your references and citing your sources appropriately.

This event will be particularly relevant to students new to university but will also be helpful to returning students or postgraduate students looking to refresh or enhance their library skills.
