As a new international student, this may be your first time in London and the UK. It may even be your first time leaving your home country! We understand that this can be a scary feeling. This is why UCL has teamed up with London's Metropolitan Police to deliver the International Student Safety Seminars. They will be held at the UCL Bloomsbury campus, in Cruciform Building, B304, Lecture Theatre 1.

In these safety seminars, we will discuss the following topics:

  • Safety around campus;
  • Safety in London;
  • Safety at night;
  • Female safety;
  • Safety of personal property such as phones and bikes;
  • Online and in-person fraud and scams;
  • Hate crimes;
  • Terrorism.

You will have the chance to participate in polls and ask questions with your phones throughout the presentation.

The Safety Seminar for January 2025 starters will take place on Friday 10 January 2025.

Signups will go live in November 2024, so make sure to check back to book your spot!
