Coach

A coach is like a big bus that travels between cities on the motorway. The National Express coach company runs a coach service between London Heathrow airport and London Victoria coach station.

The coaches depart from terminals 2, 3 and 5 and tickets can be bought from the National Expess ticket desk at any of these terminals or you can buy them in advance on their website.

Bloomsbury campus

Route and journey time

Go to either terminals 2, 3, or 5 and take the:

National Express coach to London Victoria Coach station. About 1 hour.
Change to the Victoria line (northbound) to Warren Street station. 14 minutes.

Total time = about 1 hour 25 minutes.

UCL East

Route and journey time

Go to either terminals 2, 3, or 5 and take the:

National Express coach to London Victoria Coach station. About 1 hour.
Change to the Victoria line (northbound) to Oxford Circus station. About 15 minutes.
Change to the Central line (eastbound) to Stratford station. About 25 minutes.

Total time = about 1 hour 40 minutes;

Train

There are a few different train options to get from London Heathrow airport to central London. London Heathrow airport has train stations for terminals 2 & 3 (one station for both terminals), 4 and 5 but not all the train options go from all the terminals.

via the London Underground (Picaddilly line);
via the London Underground (Elizabeth line);
via the Heathrow Express.

The Picaddilly line currently runs from terminals 2 & 3 and 5.

London Heathrow airport station to Green Park station. 48 minutes.
Change to the Victoria line (northbound) to Warren Street station. 14 minutes.

Total time = about 1 hour 10 minutes;

Elizabeth line

The Elizabeth line currently runs from Heathrow airport terminals 2 & 3, 4 and 5.

Take either of the following options:

London Heathrow airport station to Tottenham Court Road station. 32 minutes.
Change to the Northern line (northbound) to Warren Street station. 6 minutes.

Total time = about 46 minutes;

London Heathrow airport station to Paddington station. 32 minutes.
Change to either the Circle line or Hammersmith & City line (eastbound) to Euston Square. 11 minutes.

Total time = about 43 minutes;

Heathrow Express

The Heathrow Express runs from Heathrow airport terminals 2 & 3 and 5.

Take either of the following options:

London Heathrow airport station to Paddington station. 19 minutes.
Change to the Elizabeth line (westbound) to Tottenham Court Road station. 8 minutes.
Change to the Northern line (northbound) to Warren Street station. 6 minutes.

Total time = about 33 minutes;

London Heathrow airport station to Paddington station. 19 minutes.
Change to either the Circle line or Hammersmith & City line (eastbound) to Euston Square. 11 minutes.

Picadilly line

The Picaddilly line currently runs from Heathrow airport terminals 2 & 3 and 5.

London Heathrow airport station to Holborn station. 55 minutes.
Change to the Central line (eastbound) to Stratford station. 20 minutes.

Total time = about 1 hour 15 minutes;

Elizabeth line

The Elizabeth line currently runs from Heathrow airport terminals 2 & 3, 4 and 5.

Take either of the following options:

London Heathrow airport station to Stratford station. 51 minutes.

Total time = about 57 minutes;

London Heathrow airport station to Paddington station. 32 minutes.
Change to the Bakerloo line (southbound) to Oxford Circus station. 12 minutes.
Change to the Central line (eastbound) to Stratford station. 22 minutes.

Total time = about 1 hour 6 minutes;

Heathrow Express

The Heathrow Express runs from Heathrow airport terminals 2 & 3 and 5.

Take either of the following options:

Change to the next stage of the Elizabeth line (eastbound) to Liverpool Street station. 15 minutes.
Change to the next stage of the Elizabeth line (eastbound) to Stratford station. 10 minutes.

Total time = about 44 minutes;

Change to the Bakerloo line (southbound) to Oxford Circus station. 12 minutes.
Change to the Central line (eastbound) to Statford station. 22 minutes.
