Dr Josie Bryant appeared on London Live to discuss a new technique developed by a UCL to reduce the time to examine tuberculosis strains in patients.
The disease rates in some parts of London are as high as in Sub-Saharan Africa, and drug-resistant strains are becoming increasingly common.
Dr Josie Bryant, who works in the Division of Infection & Immunity at UCL, is also a member of UCL-TB.
Dr Josie Bryant appeared on London Live to explain the breakthrough in identification of strains of TB following a publication in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.
