In this session, you will hear about lessons gained from examining other professions to increase engagement.

This workshop will present findings from different professions, including:

  • stand-up comedians
  • preachers, and;
  • script writers

After attending this session you will

  • understand the value of considering alternative professions to increase your students engagement
  • explore alternative professions to use in your teaching
  • review your own approach to education

Who should attend

You should attend if you are a member of UCL staff who teaches and are responsible for student engagement.

Postgraduate Teaching Assistants and all early career educators will find this session particularly useful.
