ARENA has launched a brand new training module to make our education practices more inclusive: Universal Design for Learning (UDL) level 2. Enrol today to foster inclusivity in our learning community.
Following the pilot of the Online Inclusive Education Programme in February 2024, ARENA have now launched Universal Design for Learning (UDL) level 2.
UDL level 2 is a self-directed module that you can work through at your own pace. The content is designed as a brief guide to help you get started with making small changes to your education practice.
The course covers:
- understanding UDL
- practical strategies for implementing UDL
- case studies that highlight good practice
- an application and self-reflection activity.
The strategies outlined are intentionally broad so you can adapt to your disciplinary setting as well as the needs and capabilities of you and your students.
By completing the course, you will be able to:
- explain core principles of UDL and how these principles promote inclusivity and accessibility
- identify and apply practical strategies for incorporating UDL principles into course design, instructional materials and assessment methods
- reflect on your current teaching practices and assess how UDL principles can enhance inclusivity, engagement, and academic achievement in your classrooms.
