In Drug Discovery Today: Advancing novel therapies for neurodegeneration through an innovative model
4 September 2023
September is World Alzheimer's Month, dedicated to raising awareness about dementia. We are thrilled to share the case study of the Eisai–UCL collaboration recently published in Drug Discovery Today.
The Eisai-UCL collaboration has been running since December 2012, spearheaded by the UCL Translational Research Office (TRO) and the Dean of Faculty Brain Sciences. Seven projects have been established and the first project, a novel anti-tau antibody for Alzheimer’s disease, has entered clinical trials.
The collaboration was set up to create a portfolio of novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. It also serves as an exemplar of how academia and industry can effectively work together.
