UCL East is part of the second round of SEEDED, a five month residency programme for east London based creative Practitioners. Applications can be made until midnight on Tuesday 17 September 2024. At UCL the residents will be hosted by the Institure for Global Prosperity.

East Bank SEEDED is a part-time, funded residency programme for creatives and creative thinkers to explore and grow ideas relating to their socially-engaged practice, in partnership with an East Bank host organisation.

SEEDED first launched in 2023 and will run for a second year in 2024 – 2025 hosted by London College of Fashion, UAL and Institute for Global Prosperity at UCL East. In the future, we hope to expand the programme to include residency places with each of the five East Bank partners, which also include V&A East, Sadlers Wells and BBC Music.

Two applicants will be selected as 'Creative Practitioners in Residence', one at each host institution. They will be immersed into a team made up of relevant researchers, academics and practitioners over the course of six months, from October 2024 at their host institution. SEEDED offers a supportive, experimental and inspiring environment to foster mutual learning, collaboration and exchange of ideas.

The focus themes this year will be social justice, inclusion and accessibility in the arts, the built / natural environment or community engagement.

To find out more about the residency programme and to apply, visit the SEEDED web pages AND share with your creative networks across east London.
