The Slade at UCL East is excited to offer a unique opportunity for Year 11, Year 12 and FE college Level 3 students living in London (or just outside of London) to develop their own skills and interests in Art & Tech practices through a two-week summer course.

The Art & Tech summer course will take place at UCL East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (Mondays-Fridays). Through a series of workshops guided by practicing artists and tutors (including AI, machine learning, generative art and robotics), the course aims to introduce you to the integration of technology in art while fostering innovative approaches of thinking the relationship between art and technology.

The course will provide insight into the diverse opportunities within the Art and Creative Technologies industries and offer a taste of university-level studies in these fields. Participants will engage in daily practical workshops, visit London galleries, and conclude with a shared event/exhibition. Additionally, we will offer follow-on workshops for portfolio development and guidance on applying to BA programmes later in the year.

The course is free of charge and lunch will be provided every day, and travel expenses are included too.

This opportunity has been made possible with support from Sadie Coles HQ.
