UCL-UCU: All-member open discussion meeting, Thursday 01 September, 1-2pm

25 August 2022

We are holding an all-member open discussion meeting on the industrial action ballot that is about to start.

In this meeting we want to hear from UCL UCU members about their understanding of where we are with the pay, inequality, and pension cuts disputes with the employers. We are facing a cost of living crisis as well as cuts to pay, pensions, and conditions, and increased workload. We want to hear from members their views about these.

Most importantly, we want to hear your questions, feedback, and views on the upcoming ballot. What actions should we be taking to protect ourselves from the employers? What steps can we take to stop the continued degradation of our terms and conditions? What action will be effective this time in making the employers negotiate? This summer, 31 UCU branches engaged in marking boycotts backed-up by strikes and were successful, you can see what they achieved in our at-a-glance summary.

The meeting is on Thursday 1st September, 13.00-14.00

A registration link will be sent out soon for this meeting. Please look out for it to register to attend.
