This exciting one-week programme is intended to shape your thinking about health start-ups and small businesses for driving forward innovation, particularly in the digital health sector. Using simulation and gamification, you will gain an understanding of how to initiate a health-related start-up, the decision-making processes, and the dynamics and competitive nature of the digital health marketplace for new products and services. You will have the opportunity to meet health entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, as well as those who are developing apps for everything from diagnostics to mental health.

Much attention will be paid to business concepts so you can see what some of the approaches are that are being used to get health innovations to the market. You will learn about the importance of AI and data analytics for driving forward this exciting space for next-generation healthcare. You will also get an introduction to the regulatory and investment environment for digital health technologies. There will be site visits to see some of the places and spaces digital health innovation is taking place in London. You will come away with many ideas and experiences to shape your next educational journey.

The summer school is free to attend, including lunch and refreshments.  You need to arrange your own travel, but if the travel costs are a barrier for you, please contact us.

The summer school is non-residential. You will be required to travel to and from the Summer School each day, however we can arrange for a Student Ambassador to meet you at the station to accompany you to the venue on day 1.
