The EGA Institute for Women’s Health 16th Annual Conference 2021 will be a showcase of high-quality research undertaken by UCL Institute for Women's Health that will take place now entirely online remotely via Zoom.

 

Our IfWH Annual Conference has been changed to run entirely online via Zoom.   

This year the format will include oral presentations from IfWH/UCLH Researchers presenting their work, and undergoing a Q&A session. Presentations will be judged by our panel, and prizes awarded for the overall best performances.

In addition to this, as like every year, we will have our poster presentations and prizes, as well as highlights from our Institute staff of the high profile research that has been undertaken.

Furthermore, this year we will be hosting a Debate and a Key Note Lecture from externally invited speakers of clinical and academic backgrounds.

Professor Lucy Chappell FMedSci is the Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), with overall responsibility for the department’s research and development, including the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the government’s major funder of clinical, public health, social care and translational research.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Scientific Adviser provides science advice and analysis to ministers across the range of health topics and is involved in cross-government science policy.

Professor Chappell is Professor of Obstetrics at King’s College London, Honorary Consultant Obstetrician at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and an NIHR Senior Investigator.  She is also the Covid-19 vaccine lead for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
