Dr Sergey Martynov

Dr Sergey Martynov is working on the CO2PipeHaz  project (link to http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~ucemsm0/CO2PipeHaz.htm) focused on the assessment of hazards associated with an accidental rupture of a high-pressure pipeline transporting the supercritical carbon dioxide. His research activities on this project cover the development of a numerical model of transient discharge of the CO2 from the ruptured pipeline. Sergey's research interests belong to the area of mathematical modelling of processes in multi-phase flows, such as breakup and atomisation of liquid sprays and flows with bubbles. He is also supervising MSc students on the final year project.
