Biography of Bayartsetseg Terbish

Bayartsetseg is a Lecturer/Instructor of Social work at the School of Arts and Sciences, National University of Mongolia. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, USA, majoring in macro social work with a concentration on social and economic development. Prior to teaching, Bayartsetseg worked with international donor organizations in Mongolia including UNDP, UNV and Mercy Corps Mongolia. She is an active board member of the Mongolian Association of Social Workers, Human-based Development Center and the Mongolian Volunteers' Association. She also leads the editorial board of a peer-reviewed academic journal "Social Work."

Bayartsetseg's main research interest is in community development practices. She is particularly interested in exploring non-monetary ways of promoting poor communities, identifying varying degrees of social exclusion among ger district residents.
