We deliver bespoke training on topics of risk associated with natural hazards and natural resource exploitation and management.
The UCLHC has a long and well-established track record of running short courses, workshops and seminars tailored to the needs of non-academic professionals working in risk associated with natural hazards and natural resource exploitation and management. To date, the majority of training has been aimed at the re/insurance sector, with many of the UCLHC short courses professionally recognised and accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as appropriate continuing professional development for those working in that sector. For an overview of our training programmes, check out our training flyer below, followed by some examples of short courses that we have run in the past:
Examples of short courses that we have run in the past, include:
- Natural Perils and Property Insurance.
- Tsunamis for Insurers: Hazards, Damage Mechanisms and Vulnerabilities.
- Earthquake and Windstorm for Insurers: Hazards, Building Design and Damage.
The UCLHC is looking to expand its portfolio of short courses, workshops and seminars and, therefore, is keen to hear from parties interested in bespoke training. If interested, please contact:
