Pusey Hall in Vere, Jamaica, is shown against John Pusey Edwardes in 1817 and 1821 and against the heirs of John Pusey Edwardes in 1824 and 1827.
John Pusey Edwardes married Emma Crewe, daughter of Major General Richard Crewe and Milborough Allpress.
John Pusey Edwardes, son of John Edwardes of Jamaica [and according to genealogical sources online, Elizabeth or Lucy Pusey] matriculated University College, Oxford 25/06/1788 aged 18 and gained a BA in 1792.
The will of John Pusey Edwardes of [Pusey Hall but now residing in] Green Street, Grosvenor Square, was proved 26/07/1822. In the will he said that on the death of his wife Emma Edwardes he became entitled to £10,000, of which he had already disposed of £2600 to his wife's relatives and now willed the balance which was in the hands of Messrs Fletcher & Co. of Liverpool (subject to the consent of the estate of the late James Hargreaves of Liverpool to whom he was largely indebted for his estates in Jamaica) to her relatives, including her brothers, identified as Richard Crewe, John Frederick Crewe and Rev. Willoughby Crewe.
