Owner of Springfield estate in St Thomas-in-the-Vale, which he bequeathed to James Lewis and the wives of George Watson Askew (Sarah) and John Nicol (Elizabeth).

  1. Very likely the John Lewis who had five children with Sarah Lewis baptised in Kingston, Jamaica: James (1797), John (1799), John (1801), Sarah (1802) and Elizabeth (1804). No will has been found for John Lewis and no marriages for his daughters Sarah and Elizabeth.
