1827 - 1885
Son of John Stogden Highatt and his wife Mary Ann Eliza nee Tharp, baptised in Brampford Speke, Devon, 29/01/1826. Had a younger brother Robert Pallmer Highatt baptised in the same place the folowing year, but he may have died by 1834 as he is not mentioned in the compensation claim for the property. Inherited Orange Grove in Trelawny, Jamaica, in trust on the death of his father in early 1831 and his mother's remarriage in August that same year.
Henry Heghett, age 23, 'Town Traveler' and Jane Heghett, age 22, were living at 8 Kent Square, Liverpool, in the census of 1851. Arabella Jane Highatt, daughter of Henry Stogden Highatt, a book-keeper of Lime Kiln Lane, Liverpool, and his wife Jane, was baptised in Liverpool. 12/05/1853.
Henry Stogden Highatt later moved to Australia where he edited the Forbes and Parkes Gazette. He died in Forbes after an assault in 1885.
