Son and heir of James Hammond of St Mary Axe (q.v.), who left him unnamed estates on St Kitts which have yet to be identified.

Will of Richard Hammond of Twickenham Middlesex proved 19/05/1801. The will is very hard to read, and although long appears to confirm his marriage settlement with his wife Parnel and then to address only personalty, with legacies among others to the children of Charles Caines (q.v.) of St Kitts, probably his wife's siblings.
