Will of Parnel Caines widow of St Christopher [made in 1813 and attested in 1818] proved 30/06/1819. She ordered her executors 'as soon as conveniently after my decease as may be, sell and dispose of either at public or private sales all my negroes and other slaves', with the proceeds to be invested with the income to her daughters Elizabeth Morgan Caines and Lucretia Caines for life, and then the principal to be divided among her children and grandchildren. She left the urban property at Basseterre that she had bought from her late son-in-law Richard Hammond and Parnel his wife.
