Their son William Stewart Trench became a doctor, recorded in the 1851 as living at Rodney Street, Liverpool, with his wife and daughter. Having been educated at Edinburgh, he married Mary Ann Poole, whose family had also been in the Caribbean. Their daughter Mary Elizabeth was born in Jamaica.
