About the Grant Museum

The UCL Grant Museum of Zoology has been in continuous use by students at UCL since 1828 and first opened to the public in 1996.

Home to around 68,000 zoological specimens, the museum is an excellent resource for university and school groups to assist with teaching.

History

The Grant Museum of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy was first established in 1828 by Robert Edmond Grant.
