Awarded with William Michell (q.v.) the compensation for the enslaved people on the Cradley estate on Tobago, and also part of the compensation for the enslaved people on another estate on Tobago, now identified by LBS as Montpellier; the balance of the latter went to Martha Euphemia Wilson (q.v.), his cousin.

Presumably the William Wilson son of Thomas of the island of Tobago who matriculated Christ Church 22/10/1807 aged 17, BA and MA 1814. In 1851 William S. Wilson aged 60, 'married', born Tobago, formerly curate of Kings Brompton not having cure of souls was living at 2 Wellington Terrace Madron Penzance with two servants, including a housekeeper Eliza How who was born Kings Brompton (and who had been living with him in 1841 at Kings Brompton).
Death of William Sloane Wilson registered at Penzance Q1 1853. At Penzance on the 24th ult., the Rev. William Sloane Wilson MA formerly of the island of Tobago West Indies and late of Milverton in Somerset, aged 62 years.
Will of Rev. William Sloane Wilson clerk [formerly of the island of Tobago but now residing at Wellington Terrace in the town] of Penzance Cornwall proved 19/05/1853. Under the will he left his estate in trust for the benefit of his niece Ellen Martha Michell, the daughter of Bennet Michell (one of the trustees) and in the event of her death to another niece, Matilda Euphemia Michell, also the daughter of Bennet Michell.
Tobago nos. 25 A & B and 45 (Cradley); for Tobago no. 25A & B, counterclaim by William Mitchell [sic] of Bodmin Cornwall and the Rev William Sloane Wilson of Kings Brompton, Somerset, Clerk, as mortgagees for £4100 princal. Admitted but confined to 2/3rds estate.
