Given as Thomas Mawburn in the Parliamentary Papers, resident claimant as co-owner (with Abraham Garnett, his son-in-law) of Cumings Lodge. Although shown as the awardee there is evidence of mercantile interception by Hall M'Garel after an earlier and apparently unsuccessful intervention by John Campbell sen. & Co. of Glasgow.
